I was asked to photograph country music artist Guthrie Trapp earlier today. The best thing about photographing musicians is that I get to try different things. I came up with an idea about lighting someone with three lights: one red, one blue, and one green. Where the lights overlap would produce white light. Where they didn't meet would produce different colored shadows. Just in case it didn't work out as planned, I also photographed him with just a boring old single white light.
